Hi Auntie Erin. I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there with you guys in Tennessee. I miss you all and I love you guys so much. Daniel was an amazing father and tío to me. God took him to soon and I wish it happened a better way. He was too young and the kids don’t deserve to grow up without a father now. I’m sorry tía. I love you. - Heather

Anyone  who knew Daniel knew how Carefree, kindhearted and thoughtful he was. Daniel truly was a beautiful example of what it means to live your life. I had the pleasure of meeting Erin, Daniel, Charlie and Mina. The first time they moved to Sandy, Oregon, all for Amazon, of course. Little did I know at the time that the people who moved in next-door to me, wouldn’t just become lifelong friends, but truly folks who I consider family. Through all of the back-and-forth and multiple moves and even back to Sandy, OR for a second time… we always maintained our friendship. Some of the most best and beautiful memories my kids and I have were always time spent with Daniel, Erin, and of course the kids. Daniel truly was one of the happiest people I had ever met and I can say probably one of the biggest cheerleaders I ever had the pleasure of having in my life. His side hustle should have been being a life coach’s

There will never be enough words to describe how the loss of Daniel will impact those who were lucky enough to cross paths with him and truly get to know the individual that he was. It truly was a blessing that I know my children and I will keep with us forever. Always in our hearts and on our minds. Love you so much; Erin, Charlie, Mina and Sofia.

I have two favorite memories of Daniel. When you all lived next to us in Oregon ( minus Sophia of course), he bought me a coffee mug that simply says “Mom” in cursive. It meant so much to me and of course I still have it and use it often. 

Not too long ago, Daniel took the time to tell me how kind I was and that meant the world to me! He also told me I made the best baked goods, lol

Daniel liked to tell everyone how good looking he was, half joking, half serious! But he was a very beautiful person inside and out! I will never forget Daniel or all the special times I spent with him and his beautiful family.

My prayers go out to his wife and the three children he has left behind. Daniel was a family member to me and always viewed him as a very nice young man who cared for my daughter Megan rose at one time they had a daughter together who is Victoria I know I can honestly say he was a very good dad to my granddaughter Victoria and after my daughters passing he step up and took care of Victoria and gave her a good life worked hard and was a proud man I am so sorry that his life was shorten and taken so early in life and most of all from Victoria and new baby girl shofia he will always be those kids angel. My heart goes out to my grandchild Victoria and I will be always be there for  her during these hard times she has endure my heart is fullied with hurt for her  god bless Daniel's family and all three of his children from Natalie niehsus

When I met Pedro, one of the first things he noticed was my fluffy socks. They were green with blue polka dots and he said they reminded him of Sulley from Monsters Inc. The next day, I had on another pair of fluffy socks except these he said reminded him of a sunset on a summer day. After that, every time we saw each other he always pointed out my fluffy socks. He would compare them to cartoons he had seen and he would tell me the funniest jokes. Pedro was a man who alway put a smile on my face when I saw him. He would walk in the office and before I even saw him, I would know it was him by the sound of his voice and the laughter of the other people right behind him. He was always kind and comedic. I pray for his wife and kids as they go through this difficult time. "A beautiful soul is never forgotten, just remembered with great love.” May his soul be at peace in the kingdom of the Lord.

Pedro was a great Leader and friend! Many of us at TYS1 came from different states to launch the new site in Knoxville. Most of us had spouses and babies we relocated to a new place without family near. Before you know it colleagues become your new family. Pedro shared his life with us and we did with him. He was so excited about his new baby girl, new home and new friends. 

 There were many memories but two specific moments that stuck with me about Pedro. One day he walked the floor with me and I was doubting myself. I’ll never forget he looked at me and said “Puro Mexicana” it’s in your blood and it’s who you are. You can do anything!  He was serious and it was the way he said it almost like a brother telling me to strap up my boots and quit crying. lol. Another time I was taking a promotion to leave operations (busy and chaotic) to take a nice little quiet office position. He stopped me and said “I think you will do good BUT you won’t last long in that spot. You’re like me! We are here for the mess and we all about the bs! The chaos, we thrive in it. You’ll be back.” He was right! 5 months later I came back to Operations. Pedro could call it every time. He was a great inspiration to our team, natural leader and a good friend.

Working with Pedro and getting to know him was an absolute treasure. I know he spent time with me talking about his new baby girl Sofia when he came back to work and asked me all kinds of medical questions about his wife and things Sofia were going through we spent hours just chatting telling me how proud he was of each and every one of his wife and kids and he truly loved his wife and kids more than anything. Pedro was the person on nights who always helped me translate when taking care of anyone in Wellness. It was an honor to know Pedro and a pleasure working with him to get everybody feeling better. I know beyond a doubt when he got to heaven he immediately began cracking jokes and telling everyone about his awesome little family. My families thoughts & prayers are with you as you navigate this unimaginable tragedy.

So sorry for the loss of Daniel. He was an amazing father son uncle husband and brother. He will be dearly missed. Praying for all of you in the coming days and weeks ahead. May he rest in heavenly peace. Praying for comfort knowing he is in the arms of Jesus.
