Pauline G. Griffin

Griffin, Pauline G. (Polly) –age 105 of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 2, 2011. Polly worked as a secretary for General Shale and was and founder and administrator for the Pink Ladies at Baptist Hospital. She was a member of Meridian Baptist Church and founder of the L.L.L. Preceded in death by parents, Russell A. and Annie Groner; husband, Felix R. Griffin; sister, Alice Russell Groner. Polly is survived by nephew, Edward and wife, Mary Lou Griffin of Knoxville; niece, Sarah Schmidt of Hixson; several great nieces and nephews; and two great-great nieces. Special thanks to a devoted friend and neighbor, Ed and Mary Lynn and also caregivers, Doris Stokey and Luke Presley. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon-1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Meridian Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dana Fachman officiating. Family and friends will meet at New Gray Cemetery at 4:00 pm for interment service.
