Jo Nell Kitchens, 87, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 7th, 2024, surrounded by family. A native of Tampa, Florida, she also lived in Easley, SC and Harriman, TN. She loved animals, gardening, reading, and being out in nature. She loved her family most of all, and nothing gave her greater pleasure than spending time with them. She regularly told people, “I have been so blessed. No one has had a happier life than I’ve had.” She lived her life sharing that happiness with others and will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, faith, and love. She embraced her role as a loving mother and is survived by three of her children: Kathy Brewer, Harriman, TN; Michael Kitchens, Piedmont, SC; Kyra Clements, Harriman, TN; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryce, daughter, Karen Clements, and granddaughter, Robyn Parmer. A private funeral service will be held at Flat Rock Baptist Church in Liberty, SC on Wednesday, December 11th at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to an animal charity or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
