Mildred Katherine Knott Henry

HENRY, MILDRED K. age 97 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2010. Longtime member of Belmont Heights Baptist Church where she was the pianist for 35 years. Preceded in death by husband, Harold S. Henry; parents, John and Lillian Knott; brothers, Harold, John S. and Emerson Knott; sisters, Goldie Knott and Dorothy Lyle. She is survived by her brother, Curtis Knott of Gotha, FL and sister and brother-in-law, Selma (Sammie) and Chris Mallios of Cincinnati; sister-in-law, Linda Knott of Nashville and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to her caregivers, Chris English and Elizabeth (Sissy) Arant and dear friend, Peggy Bomar. The family will receive friends 3-5 pm Sunday at Weaver’s Chapel with the service to follow at 5 pm. Pastor Josh Glandon officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Monday at Highland Memorial Cemetery for an 11 am interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Belmont Heights Baptist Church, 2510 Belmont Heights Ave., Knoxville, TN 37921 for either the Lottie Moon Christmas Mission or the Annie Armstrong Easter Mission.
