Mary L White

Mary Lois White passed away on Tuesday September 26, 2023 at NHC Healthcare in Johnson City, Tennessee. Mary was born on February 5, 1945 in Knoxville, Tennessee. She resided in Knoxville and later moved to Kingsport to be near family. Mary was a nondenominational Christian and spent several years in the ministry of the Gospel. She graduated from South High School in Knoxville, Walters State Community College in Morristown and University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She loved to read her Bible. Mary also enjoyed poetry, hiking, camping and fishing with family and friends, and enjoyed her pets. She was preceded in death by parents, Ray Franklin White and LaVerne Rieben White; nephew, Greg White. Mary is survived by her brother, James R. (Beverly) White; nephew, Kevin (Lesley) White; nieces, Bethany White (Ash Aboushall) and Sylvia Massey (Matt Pearson); great-nieces, Mandy White (Alex) Rogers, Kara Rebecca (John) Robinson and Maya Aboushall; great-nephew, Zachary White; special aunts, Mavis White and Mavis Jones; several cousins and many dear friends. In lieu of flowers those who wish can donate in Mary's name to the Parkinson's Foundation or The Michael J. Fox Foundation. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 5, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery for a graveside service. Officiating ministers, Jerome Frandle and Jason McInally.
