Marilyn Lee Adams

Marilyn Lee Adams (Dunn), age 76, passed away Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, in Rocky Top, Tennessee. Marilyn is preceded in death by her mother and father Tom and Dot Dunn. She is survived by her son Tom and two grandchildren.

Born in New York City, Marilyn returned to her mother’s hometown of Siler City NC. She is a 1965 graduate of Jordan Matthews High School and later in life would complete an associates technology degree at Central Piedmont Community College. She previously held a real estate license in the state of Tennessee and was a contract CAD draftsperson for various nuclear power plant projects.

Marilyn was an accomplished artist, craftsperson and self-taught woodworker all driven by her boundless creativity. She is best known for her fierce independence and self-reliance.

Marilyn will be interred at Berry Highland West Cemetery, 9913 Sherrill Blvd., Knoxville, TN 37932 alongside her parents during a private ceremony of remembrance. She will live in the hearts of all those that her life touched. The family would like to thank neighbors, lifelong friends, Marilyn's her recent caregivers at Summit View for their support, we will be forever grateful to you all.
