Lindsay French Johnson Jr.

Johnson, Lindsay F. Jr. (Zeke), 84, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 30, 2013. He was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church; a 50 year member of Chilhowee Masonic Lodge, retired from KUB with 31 years of service and served in the U. S. Army in the Korean War. Preceded in death by son, Mark Lindsay Johnson; parents, Lindsay Johnson Sr. and Lena Mattie (Burnette) Johnson; sisters, Juanita Pollard, Dorothy Rose, Linda Cordell; and brother, Donald Johnson. Lindsay is survived by wife of 62 years, Doris L. Johnson,; daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Jim Monday, Angela and Preston Vineyard; Son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Karen Johnson; grandchildren, Eric and wife Paige Johnson, Julie Monday, Brandon and Brittney Johnson, and Tyler Vineyard; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Brady and Holly Johnson; sisters Josephine Cannon, Brenda Johnson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd (Frosty) and Bonnie Johnson, Terry and Loretta Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Valley Grove Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Dr. Bill Sims officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday, January 3, 2014 at Valley Grove Baptist Church Cemetery for a 1:00 P.M. graveside service.
