Leon Hodges Kirby, age 81, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018. He was a graduate of East High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid golfer and friend to many. Retired from Rohm & Haas.
Preceded in death by parents, Cecil and Beulah Kirby; sister, Alma Rhea Kirby. Mr. Kirby is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Monna Kirby; special niece and nephew, Traci and Dan McKee; sister, Wilma Dooley (John); nephews, Joseph Dooley (Elaine), David Dooley (Cathy); niece, Lea Ann Adkins (Steve); several great nieces, great nephews, golfing buddies and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be Thursday, November 8, 2018 with a gathering of friends from 5 to 6 pm. A service of Remembrance will follow from 6 to 7 pm at Holston Hills Country Club, 5200 Holston Hills Road, Knoxville, TN 37914.
