Kenneth Lafayette Smith

Kenneth Lafayette Smith – age 96, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018. He was a member of Second United Methodist Church. Kenneth was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired Optician who enjoyed gardening. Preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Juanita C. Smith, sons Kenneth B. Smith and Christopher D. Smith, grandson Casey Cason, 3 sisters and a brother. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Charlie Cason, grandchildren and spouses Samantha and Matt Kennedy, Fontana and Todd Seales, Amy Stewart, Corey Cason, Michaell and Tim Jeffers, Laurie and Tyler Trotter, and Zach Lane several great-grandchildren, special nieces and nephews Brenda, Connie, Gaines, and Charles. He also leaves special friends Max and Faye Cole. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second United Methodist Church, 1524 Western Ave, Knoxville, TN 37921. Family and friends will meet Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 10:45am for an 11am Entombment Service in the Mausoleum Chapel of Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN, 37919 with Rev.
