Judy Mae Davis, born March 24, 1929. Went home to her Heavenly Father on March 20, 2017 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Cecil H. Robison and Ethel Robison Barton. She is preceded in death by both parents, her husband of fifty five years, John T. Davis, son Billy D. Davis, sister Norma Robison Shugart and brother Cecil H. Robison Jr. Judy leaves sister and brother-in-law Barbara (John) Weatherford of Edmond, Oklahoma, son Jim (Judy) Davis, granddaughter Kelcey (Robbie) Levering, Chloe and Ella Levering all of Knoxville TN, and grandson John (Wendy) Davis, Paul and Elijah Davis of Nashville TN to mourn her passing. She also leaves many nieces and nephews with whom she stayed in constant contact. Judy was a loving and dedicated wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She often stated her family was “the wind beneath her wings” and never missed an opportunity to celebrate a birthday or accomplishment no matter how small. The Davis family were long-standing members of Bearden Central Baptist Church, where for many years Mrs. Davis enjoyed being active in her Sunday school class. Judy Mae Davis lived a full and independent life until her recent illness, and that is how her family will remember her. She was someone who loved life and lived it on her own terms. The family would like to thank the entire nursing staff of Fort Sanders 3 West, and the physicians of Premier Surgical and Urology Specialists of East Tennessee who attended Mrs. Davis throughout her recent illness. The family will gather later this week for a private celebration of her life, with a graveside service to follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery. Berry Highland Memorial is assisting the family.
