I am completely hear broken over just finding out about the passing of Josh! Josh had one of the biggest hearts of any one I've ever known! I always looked forward to any opportunities of being able to go fishing or hunting with him, above all to learn from him! My heart & prayers go out to Heather and their families. 

Josh I love ya brother, and you'll be missed greatly! I look forward to the day we will see each other again! Gone WAY WAY WAY to soon........but NEVER Forgotten!!

    14 years ago I was blessed with a man that would forever change my life. I knew instantly that he was my other half, my soul mate..and so our adventure began. That was each day with Joshua, an adventure. Then came the day I had the honor of becoming his wife, the honor of marrying my best friend. I was welcomed into an amazing family and my family welcomed him into ours. We had the opportunity to travel to many places and experience new and exciting things together. We were just as happy to be having "lazy days" at home with the dogs. Last year were blessed with two amazing children to care for, adding a new and glorious chapter to our adventure through life. There was never a day that he did not say how much he loved us. 
     If you knew Joshua you know there was never a shortage of smiles and laughter. Listening to his tales, hearing his new joke of the day, begging to watch anything other than outdoor network, meeting him at his truck after a weekend away hunting, only to find whatever critter he had brought home him.  All of these "Joshua moments" will be remembered forever. I have been left with enough memories to fill my heart and enough love to last a lifetime. Each day with him was a blessing. Take comfort knowing God has prepared a place where we will see him again. How sweet the day when we will once again see that beautiful smile. 
      To all of our family and friends I thank you. Simple words with such strong meaning that come straight from my heart. Thank you for your love! Thank you for your kind words and most importantly thank you for your prayers. 
    To my sweet Joshua...you will forever have my heart. I am so very blessed to have had the opportunity to feel true love. We will soon be together again, we will have another dance, this one to the music of angels.

I have had many memories of Joshua in the last month.  Some sentimental and some just laughable.  I remember a little boy calling late at night asking me to get his "Snickers" for him to wear to school the next day, a teenager excited about getting his drivers license, and a young groom calling for his honeymoon basket.  I have had the opportunity to celebrate some of the major events in Joshua's life.  I have made birthday cakes and his groom's cake. I remember the 1st day of school and his graduation.  I was thankful his parents were willing to share Joshua and Penny with me.  Condon and I enjoyed taking the nephews and nieces on trips and adventures.  From the beach, to Six Flags, Opryland or anywhere else we could have fun, we always had a wonderful time.  Nothing was ever dull with Joshua around.  One time he promised to stay awake and keep me company while I was driving home late at night,  He was asleep before we got out of the parking lot.  I have too many memories to list in such a small space, but my heart will never forget the joy, laughter and love Joshua brought to all of us.  His excitement when he talked about Heather or was showing pictures of Bria, the fun he had telling of his hunting and fishing adventures and his always taking time to say "I love you" will forever live in my heart.  I  Love you Josh, and I am thankful I have such good and lasting memories.

Josh was an amazing individual and will be missed terribly.  He will always be special to so many people and I am blessed to have known him.  My favorite memories of Josh include him smiling and laughing as he was always happy.  Oh and not to forget those straws!! I am not sure I have ever seen him without one! Praying continuously...

Joshua David Hayes---Remembering when you were a little boy-What a joy!!  We called you Spiderman when you were growing up because you climbed everything in sight, touched everything available, and tried the patience of everyone.  You would say Hey Daddy, Hey Daddy, Hey Daddy until Sissy would say Daddy please answer him.  You would Hey Daddy 'til I said what son-never stopping 'til then. We loved you anyway.  One day while the two of you were playing in the log house I built, I overheard you say, "Sissy I go to school FIVE days a week.  I DON'T want to PLAY school. You settled for playing McDonalds.  How many go-cart trips around that house?  You placed your Big Mac or Happy Meal order on one side of the house, drive to the other side to pick it up.  Many, many more "remember whens" I took Sean, Jeremy, and you to Cherokee dam to fish for cat  fish to fill Sean's grandmother's pond.  Boy did we catch the fish?  We filled Opal's pond.  We also got ourselves wet in the rainstorm.  So much so, I drove to work the next week on a soaking wet seat.  One Nascar Sunday, you and I were on Indian Ridge Rd. doing about 55 MPH heading to Uncle Eddies in my old'37 Plymouth coupe, when I hear you say DAD there goes a wheel and tire flying as high as that telephone pole.  Just about that time the right front quadrant of the Plymouth dropped onto the pavement.  Because I hade changed the wheels from original to Chevy Rally with adapters, forgetting Plymouth lugs are right and left hand threaded, the wheel had come off.  Smoke and fire going everywhere.  We didn't wreck but scared about 3 years of our lives away.  It took about two hours to find the wheel and tire in grass over our heads, but you found it.  You were forever finding things on the road i.e. a hammer, a wheelbarrow, a rake and etc.

I have my memories, my pictures, and my love for you but Josh, I will miss you every day.  You are with me at the garage and farm.  I thank the Lord our God for allowing me to be with you for the 34 years we had.

My sweet brother. Words cannot express the joy you've brought to our family. Your smile could warm any room and your laugh contagious. Growing up, it was you and me against the world. We felt like we could do anything we put our hearts and minds to, and we did! I think of all the times we shared laughing til we cried. Being on the farm was some of our greatest times. Dad waking us up playing Amazing Grace on the Violin, no one was sleeping through that, LOL! Running the go carts up and down the driveways and tearing up the gardens. Flying from the top of the hill on our 10 speeds and you slid as we came across a snake and fell on top of it, I kept going. Taking the go cart around the playhouse and pretending to order McDonalds. You terrorizing the chickens, gotta love the rooster who would chase you back to the garage. Climbing each and every tree we could get into. Swinging on the tire swing and playing hide and go seek. Dad pulling us under the waterfall as we sat in the back of the truck, that water is freezing! Then he made a "redneck swimming pool" by lining it with a tarp and filling it with water. As we grew older we shared a lot more memories through high school and then to move on with getting married and starting families. You married the most precious woman, one I love and adore. She always has and always will love you with every fiber of her being. You and Mike became brothers. I loved hearing you and him on the phone watching the Hunting Channel. Everyone in the house had to be quite because you all were "hunting", LOL! Hunter and Seth put you on a pedestal, there's no one like "Uncle Josh". Although you scared them every chance you got and the "nicknames" you all had for each other will go down in history. Hunter will carry on your love of the outdoors and Seth will forever cover a most delicious meal with ketchup, as you did. How we'll miss every call or text when you or one of us caught a fish or got a deer. The moments we've shared are countless. From swimming with the boys and playing like you were 5 years old again to you teaching the tricks of hunting and fishing. The excitement in their voices each time they knew you were visiting or talking to you on the phone could make anyone smile. We've shared you with the world mostly because you never passed an opportunity to talk to someone. For every life you touched your memory will forever be carried on. To the love you gave and the laughs you shared I'll close by saying "See you after while, Love you Brother!"

I have had MANY experiences with Joshua.  He is my Grandson, I am his NANA.  I have loved him always.  Some of the best memories are the most simple.  Josh would lay across my lap ask me to "ITCH" his back.    He always had lots of energy, Penny (his sister)  would ask, "Nana does my brother make you nur-bus." Some memories are more lasting.  After he graduated school, he called me one stormy night to say he needed a place to live.  He then became my neighbor.  I was there for the BIG day when he married Heather. He would always tell me "She's beautiful and I am going to keep her."  Josh and Heather have enriched my life by sharing Bria and Bryson with me.  I received many calls to meet him at the fence, where he would give me a dinner plate of good food, (Heather is a wonderful cook), or pictures, or to borrow an onion when he grilled out. I have many wonderful gifts, that I see daily around my house. I would share the news of the BIG CATCH when he came in from fishing, or see the deer when he had been hunting, and hear the stories of the ones that got away.  Most recently we shared conversations and prayers.  My most precious memory is that I was with him when he went to the alter to ask God into his life.  I saw the changes and the beautiful smile and attitude he carried with him afterwards. Joshua left us all with many, many good memories and a lasting Smile.  As I look out my window everyday I will think of him jumping in his little truck, throwing his arm out the window and Yelling " LOVE YOU NANA, SEE YOU LATER."  We Love you Joshua and your family.  You chose well in a wife and in life.  Heather, Bria and Bryson, I am just across the fence, if you need me. I Love you bunches, and may God bless you and keep you in his care.  Nana

Gayford old buddy we had some good times from riding go carts slinging cow patties, catching wild ducks and filling all your dads cages up. Cook outs out the house it getting dark and have to be walked home and you would only touch the ground about twice before you would get home, we'd play uno we'd cheat pass cards under the table mom caught you and chased you on the porch and sprayed your shorts full of whip cream lol. Camping in your dads back yard in a old army tent we smelled a skunk and we tied the ends up we about drowned in our sweat that night, you really went all out at all you done it was a great honor to have know you and you be my friend.

Josh was such an amazing young man! He could never have an enemy...the vibes and greatness that flowed from him when u were around him, was beautiful! His whole family is mourning this tragic loss, but at the same time SO THANKFUL he's dancing around those streets of gold! We can't wait to see him someday soon!! I LOVE U COUSIN JOSH...ALWAYS!!!

Cousin Joshua I still can't believe that you are gone. Your wit always put a smile on my face. Your prank calls were so hilarious! I fell for them every time! I could never get you back no matter how hard I tried. Heather, you are an amazing and graceful woman and I know that Joshua loved you with all of his heart. He never spoke to me without talking about you and the kids. You all are and always will be his Pride and Joy! We love you and you all are always in my prayers.

Joshua and I belong to the same "TALL-TALE" Club.  We were always trying to one-up each other.  It usually ended in a lot of ribbing and laughter.  Josh was always around when his Dad and I were working on race cars or classics. As he got older he had a talent for painting cars.  Josh being Josh he was always looking for ways to help someone.  When he heard a young girl needed a ride to the prom, he called me.  We were chauffeurs and took her to her prom in my 1955 Chevy classic.  On the way home my lead foot hit the floor and we took off like a shot.  Josh was white knuckled and Yelling "SLOW THIS THING DOWN"   After a few miles I saw that he had braced himself and was really holing on.  He said "Hit It Uncle Junior"  I told him there was too much traffic and not safe.  When we got home I told everyone he was afraid of a little speed.   His answer..."You are just not right Uncle Junior...I love you man...but you're not right"  That was a running thing between us.  Every time I saw him he said the same thing.  "You're not right Uncle Junior...But I Love you, Man."  I Love you too, Joshua.  I will miss our telling of tall tales.  I was looking forward to hearing about the rattle snake! Heather, we are always here for you if you need us. We love you. You have always been so kind to me. What can I say? It's like I've lost another brother. I can remember when I first met Josh. Trip brought him up to the property at Scott Co. Ever since that day he has been a dear friend and brother. We never left each other from a talk without him saying I love you, and me saying I love you too. We never took for granted the times we shared. I'll miss him for the rest of my life. We all will. We love you!

Joshua visited us every Friday.  We looked forward to his smile, laughter and joking.  He always had pictures of Bria and would tell us "Isn't she beautiful" The last visit he prayed for me, and I could feel it thru my whole body. Josh was such an awesome guy! Jeremy and I thought the world of him. We were honored to have him be Coleman's godfather. Coleman always knew him as Uncle Josh. Our over abundance of memories of Josh are so precious. Praying for comfort for everyone.
