John Roy Reeves

John Roy Reeves, 90, of Knoxville, Tennessee formerly of Athens died Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at his home. He spent most of his working career in Athens as the owner of Reeves Electronics and later Reeves Realty. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served during the Korean War. He and Pat retired to Laurel Lake in Madisonville. He loved reading, good conversation and hanging out with family on the lake.

John is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Ruth Reeves (Schaerer); children, Robert M. Reeves (Jill), Lisa R. Harris (Tony), Linda R. Hamilton and Tim Wilson (Kim); grandchildren, Lauren Carlin (Phil), Heather Whittle (Billy), David Brackett, Kelly Grogan (Will), Amanda Grubb (Michael), David Hamilton (Ashley), Hannah Reeves, Mackenzie Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Chelsea McCann (Josh Gall), Lindsay Allgood (Tyler) and Scott Harris (Christin); great-grandchildren, Carol-Ann, James and Matthew Carlin, Jackson and Emma Whittle, Caylee Grubb; Owen and Wyatt Hamilton, Quinn and Maddie McCann, Lucas Gall, TJ Allgood, Gwendolyn and Harper Harris

Family and friends will meet Thursday, April 15, 2021 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 Gov. John Sevier Hwy. Knoxville, for a 12:30pm service.
