John Edward Miller, age 49, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 22, 2023. He accepted the Lord as his Savior at age 13 after his momma shared the gospel with him. He attended Fellowship Church with his wife and was part of a Wednesday night Bible Study led by Pastor and dear friend Tom Moore. John was married to his wife Stephanie for 5 years. However, they met 9 years ago and had been together ever since. He felt extremely blessed and was the proud Papa to his precious granddaughter, Norah Perry; He had great love for his family and friends and was often known for being ready and willing to lend a hand when there was a need. Bluegrass also held a special and big place in his heart. John had opportunity to fulfill a small glimpse of what was once a big dream for him. He played with several bands throughout the years, had a chance to perform in several states and even tour in Europe. He had become known and respected as an accomplished and talented musician. He is preceded in death by his father, Earnest Edward “Bird” Miller; brother, Eddie Miller and sister, Shelia Falls. He is survived by his adoring wife, Stephanie Miller; mother, Margaret Miller; brother, David Miller and wife, Marsha, brother, Andy Miller and wife, Tammy; sister, Debbie Lawson and husband, Danny; father-in-law, Bud Matteson; step-son, Brandon Perry and wife, Ellie; granddaughter, Norah Perry; mother-in-law, Mary Sands and husband, Buster; brother-in-law, Kenneth Falls; sisters-in-law, Eddie and Nellanne Brindley; brother-in-law, Paul Matteson and wife, Lisa; nieces and nephews, Keith and Melissa Cardwell, Marcus Cardwell, Amanda Miller Payton, Aaron and Anna Lawson, Tommy Lawson, Cody Lawson, Anthony Lawson, Marissa Lawson, Brittany Carr, Andrew “Drew” Miller, Wesley Falls, Rhylan Payton, Haley Matteson, Sara-ashley Matteson and Matthew Matteson; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 10 am in the Student Building of Fellowship Church with Celebration of Life service to follow at 11 am with pastor, Tom Moore officiating.
