Joann Lockett

Lockett, Joann Rutherford, age 81, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. She was a secretary for The University of Tennessee Athletic Department. She was affiliated with Methodist Church. She was past President of Toastmistress Club and involved in the American Academy of Medicine Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Spectacular Diva Supper Club. Joann was born January 9, 1932 to the late Henry A. and Jennie Vasey Rutherford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Lynn F. Lockett; sons, Lynn, Jr. and Lee; sisters, Dorothy Kelly Tarver, and Sara Beth Bye.

Survived by daughters, Lynda and husband Joe Joyner of Knoxville, and Lori Boyd; grandchildren, Matt and Lindsay, Ryan, Joseph and Christian Boyd; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Lilly, all of TX; sister-in-law Ann Herron and husband Dan of Raleigh, NC; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
