Jimmie Lynn Rogers, 86, of South Knoxville, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 after a long illness. He was born January 2, 1935 in Knoxville. Jimmie attended South High School. He retired after many years of service at Rohm and Hass. He was a member of South Knoxville Baptist Church. Jimmie was an avid Nascar fan and in years past, enjoyed racing boats.
Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Cora Rogers.
Survived by loving wife of 23 years, Joyce Rogers: daughters, Diana Lynn Messel (Mark) and Brenda Settlemyer; sons, David Rogers (Denise) and Greg Rogers (Laura); stepdaughter, Kelly Phillips (Joe); stepson, Steven Tuttle; grandchildren, Kolby and Nick Rogers, Kial Settlemyer, Kirbie Heyward, Kayla Hafley, Jamie Rogers, Stefani Padgett (Daniel), Steven Blume (Tresa); great grandchildren, Taylor, Rylan, Emery and Penny Padgett, Ava and Maggie Blume.
A gathering to celebrate Jimmie's life will be held at Berry Funeral Home on Saturday, October 16th from 4 PM until 6 PM. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
