Janice Lee (Roland) Reasonover left this life to be with her Lord, Jesus, on Saturday, December 17, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born in Abilene, Texas on December 1, 1953. She was the third child born to Hall Carmack and Juanita June (Clifton) Roland. She attended school in Knoxville, Tennessee at Rocky Hill Elementary School and graduated from Bearden High School in 1971. Soon after she graduated high school, she went to work for Tennessee Farmers Mutual Insurance where she met Dickie Reasonover. Janice married Dickie, her beloved husband of 48 years, on June 22, 1974. Janice was a faithful Christian and a member at the West End Church of Christ in Knoxville for 68 years. To some of us, she was our best friend. Everyone knew her to be beautiful, loving, hospitable, and fun. To others she was spunky, smart, strong, approachable, and high-spirited. She had a memory like a steel trap. She had a fantastic sense of humor and the quick wit of her mother. Nothing was more important to Janice than her family, they were her entire world. Janice was a loving wife and an amazing mother and grandmother. She loved to spend time on her houseboat on Tellico Lake with her husband, friends, Bill and Rosie, laughing and listening to music while watching the sun go down. Heaven will be made more joyful and beautiful by her presence there. We will deeply miss our Janice Lee.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Hall Carmack and mother, Juanita June (Clifton) Roland. She is survived by her husband, Dickie Reasonover; sons, Scott Reasonover and Darrien Roland Reasonover; daughter, Jeanna Reasonover Sheets (Rob); grandsons, Preston Reasonover, Jake and Riley Sheets and great grandson, Landon Sheets;Preston's mother, Julie; brothers, Edward Carmack Roland (Martha), David Clifton Roland (Ingrid), Lester Hall Roland (Fiona) and a multitude of much loved nieces and nephews. She also dearly loved her friends, especially Bill and Rosie Rosen.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 4-6pm at the West End Church of Christ, 8301 East Walker Springs Lane, Knoxville, TN 37923. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the visitation at 6pm.
