JANE L. HIGDON age 85, born April 12, 1930, died peacefully at her home on October 17, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was retired from Martin Marietta and was a long time member of the Karns Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Higdon; her mother and father, Mitchell and Hautie Luckett. Survived by her sister and best friend, Anne Anderson; children, Vickie and husband, David Wright and Daryl Higdon; 4 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Tuesday at Karns Church of Christ with the service to follow at 7 pm. Minister Edwin Jones officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Wednesday at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for an 11 am interment.
