James "Jw" Willis Pratt Sr.

James "JW" Willis Pratt, Sr. age 81 of Knoxville, TN passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. He was a member of Sunset Heights Missionary Baptist Church. JW loved spending time with his family camping and fishing.

He was born the son of Charles and Gracie Pratt of Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Margie Lorine Pratt; daughter, Sally A. Hester of Jefferson County, TN and son, James "Jimmy" Wills Pratt Jr. of Knoxville, TN.

He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Bill Williams of Deer Lodge, TN; son, David C. Pratt of Knoxville, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Mark Luttrell of Deer Lodge, TN; grandchildren, Mary Johnson, Christina Rice, Billy Williams, Vanessa Tippie, Samantha Anderson, Jessie Pratt, Joshua, Shea and Haylee Luttrell; great-grandchildren, Dylan Collins, Callie Rice, Jacelyne, Jeremiah, Keeton Pratt, Karson and Kasen Luttrell. The family would like to thank two very special people, Lena and Justin Wilson for all the help and support they provided during JW's illness.

Friends are invited to gather with the family Thursday, April 22, 2021 between the hours of 5:00pm-7:00pm in the chapel of McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville with a service to follow officiated by Rev. Ray Pratt. Family and friends will meet Friday, April 23, 2021, 10:00am, McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home and go in procession to Thorngrove Cemetery, Thorngrove Road, Strawberry Plains for an 11:00am Interment.
