James "Jim" H. Nicely, age 85 of Blaine, TN passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021. He was a member of Lea Springs Baptist Church. He retired from Asarco Mining Company after 33 years of service where he was known as "Swifty" and later from the City of Blaine. Jim was a very hard working man that provided for his family.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Sue Nicely; daughter in law, Becky Nicely; granddaughter, Heather Knight and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by sons, Jeff Nicely, Randy (Tammy) Nicely; daughter, Robin (Keith) Maples; grandchildren, Joey (Melissa) Nicely, Jeremy (Brittany) Nicely, Jacob Maples, Emily Maples; great grandchildren,
Makayla (Blake) Jones, R.J. Knight, Ava Nicely, Gracelynn Jones and Liam Nicely; brothers, Willie Burton (Judy) Nicely, John (Jo) Nicely and Clayton (Wilma) Nicely. On behalf of the family they would like to thank the staff of UT Hospice for their wonderful care, especially, Beth and Amanda.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 3, 2021 from 5:00pm-7:00pm in the chapel of McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville with a service to follow at 7:00pm.
