James Leroy Lindsey

James Leroy Lindsey went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday November 24, 2024. He was 82 years old. He was a faithful member at Buffat Heights Baptist Church for 51 years. He is formerly from Dandridge, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; James Wesley and Lottie May McCarter Lindsey and sister; Nora Jane Leake.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45years; Anna Ruth Lindsey, son and daughter-in-law; James Eugene and Mayoli Lindsey of Knoxville, TN, daughter and son-in-law; Karen Renee and Phillip Webb of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren; Sarah Avila, Allen Lindsey and Jasmine Lindsey, great grandson; Ariston Xander Sharp of Knoxville, TN, great granddaughter; Aria Sonnette Avila of Knoxville, TN sisters and brother; Mildred Smith of Knoxville, TN, Blanche Hutchison of Machesney Park, IL, Hellen Sellers of Corryton, TN, John Lindsey of Hermitage, TN and Carolyn Josey of Knoxville, TN.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 2, 2024, between the hours of 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 6:00 PM Buffat Heights Baptist Church 2800 Mill Rd, Knoxville, TN 37924. Family and friends will gather at Berry Highland South Cemetery 9010 E. Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920 Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 12:45 PM for a 1:00 PM Graveside Service. Services officiated by Rev. Dave Thomas. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to Buffat Heights Baptist Church.
