Cox, James Robert “Bob”, age 86, of South Knoxville, went peacefully to see Jesus this morning at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church and a former member of South Knoxville Baptist Church. Bob retired from the Knoxville Utilities Board in 1986, and proudly served our country during World War II as a Military Police Officer in the US Army. Survivors include: wife Kathryn Cox, daughters Becky Hurst and Amy Stallings, grandchildren: Adam Stallings, Katie Stallings, Kayla Caughorn, and Michael “Andy” Hurst, and great-grandchild Jade Stallings. The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home on Sunday from 4-6 PM. Family and friends will meet on Monday at 1:30 PM at East Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery, John Sevier, for a graveside service.
