Reagan, Helen Moody –age 94, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Preceded in death by her parents, Manley Ruben and Lucy Simpson Moody; her husband, Clyde P. Reagan; their infant son, Terry Franklin Reagan; her brother, Howard Moody. Mrs. Reagan is survived by her three children, Clint H. Reagan (Peggy), Lynn Reagan Samuels (Ron), and Jeff A. Reagan. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Whitney Musser (Matthew), Erin Reagan and Cooper Samuels. Additionally, she leaves two great grandsons, Walker and Hunter Musser plus nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, Helen G. Reagan and Annie Lou Reagan. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and was a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. While at UT, she was a Volunteer Beauty and excelled in her studies. During WWII, Mrs. Reagan was an active member of the war effort working at RobertShaw Controls in the development of electronic weapons systems. After WWII, Mrs. Reagan spent most of her life as an educator in the public school system and went on to become a supervisor with Knox County Schools. During that time, she served a dual role as the USDA representative for 34 East Tennessee counties. She retired from Knox County Schools in 1987. Helen and her husband, Clyde, moved to Nashville after they both retired and were active members of Bellevue Presbyterian Church until their passing. Visitation will be held at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, South Knoxville, at 11:00 AM- 12 Noon on Saturday, November 17, 2012 with interment immediately following at Woodlawn Cemetery in Knoxville, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the charity of your choice or to Bellevue Presbyterian Church, 100 Cross Timber Drive, Nashville, Tennessee 37221.
