She is preceded in death by her parents Frank Roach and Hattie Roach; daughter, Glynis; and sister-in-law, Janie Merceil Williams Roach. She was a member of Atkins Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN.
She is survived by, husband, Jim Sauceman; brother, Wayne Roach; sons, Jim (Judy) Sauceman, Jr. and Greg (Erin) Sauceman, and daughter Kim (Tony) Givens; grandchildren, Allison (Adam) Nunn, Ashley (Jacob) Capps, Justin (Britni) Sauceman, Keith Sauceman, Kip (Whitney) Sawyer, Brook (Daniel) Neal, Nicole (Ryan) Alberts, Megan (AJ) Bunch, Sean Sauceman, and Maddie Sauceman; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Grace exemplified Proverbs 31:10-31, truly living her life according to her name. At work and at home, she took care of those around her. She worked for many years as the Housekeeping Supervisor at Hillcrest and Holston Nursing Homes. One of her favorite activities was hosting large family holiday gatherings where she could share her love by cooking everyone’s favorite dishes.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Esha Cannon, DO and Cheryl Vandewege, APN, the nurses and staff from 8 North at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, and Covenant Health Homecare and Hospice.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home 7426 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37924 with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Revs. Charlie Lynch and Darrell Williams officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday, December 16, 2024, 10:00 AM at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home to go in procession to Roseberry Baptist Church cemetery 2920 Roseberry Road, Mascot, TN for an 11:00 AM Interment Service. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Nunn, Jacob Capps, Justin Sauceman, Keith Sauceman, Sean Sauceman, Kip Sawyer, AJ Bunch and Daniel Neal.
