George Harmon Patton

Patton, George Harmon, age 83, of South Knoxville, passed away February 7, 2017. Harmon was employed at Massey Electric for 38 years and was a long time member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran and served in Germany. He was a loving Pop Pop to his grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, of 50 years Bertha Patton, by parents, Roy and Cora Patton; brother, Jay Patton; Sister, Martha Lucille Patton survivors: Daughter and Son-in-law: Sharon and Scott Flenniken, Son: Eddie Patton, Daughter: Dennis Rosenbalm, Grandchildren: Shelby and Sydney Flenniken, Kari Buttery, Niece and Nephews: Steve, Rodney and Lisa Patton. The family will receive friends 5-7 Friday, February 10, 2017 in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy. Services will follow at 7:00 with Rev. Gary Massengill officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 AM Saturday at Berry Highland South Cemetery for graveside service. Pallbearers will be Gordon Massey, Doug Snapp, Bobby Singleton, Coy Summitt, Kevin summit and Terry Rummel. Memorials may be made to American Cancer association.
