George Richard Corbett

George "Richard" Corbett, age 66, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Richard was a devoted husband to his wife, Rebecca and father who left a legacy of serving the Lord Jesus Christ, and raising over 38 children, and was a dedicated employee of East Tennessee Children's Hospital. Preceded in death by parents, Richard A. "Dick" and Hattie Pauline Corbett; brother, John H.; grandbaby, Ayden B. Graham. Survived by loving wife, Rebecca; sons, George Richard, Jr., Michael Burrell and nephew James H. Maxwell; daughters, Sara Amy (Jeff) Lingerfelt, Paulene Ruth (J.J.) Kindred, Rebecca "Jenny" Corbett (Joe), and Jacquelyn "Jackie" Corbett; grandchildren, Cory Lingerfelt, Dylan, Samantha, Tabythia, Cassandra, Hattie, Jaylon, Nathan, Jaygen, Brayden, Rebekah, Tyler, Tayler and Zachary; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Monday at Weaver's Chapel with the service to follow at 8 pm, Minister Chris Morgan officiating.
