FRANKLIN D. SHARP age 74 of Knoxville, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Asbestos Workers Local # 46 and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Preceded in death by his daughter, Melanie Kay Sharp; parents, H.A. and Lula Sharp; siblings, Chig Sharp, M.T. Sharp, Maxine Spade, Thelma Manahan and Betty Herman. Survived by his wife, Norma Sharp; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Sherry Sharp; granddaughter, Zoe Sharp; brother, Doug Sharp; sisters, Jewell Ramsey and Joyce Hagaman; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Monday at Weaver’s Chapel with the service to follow at 7 pm. Dr. Rocky Ramsey officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 am Tuesday at New Gray Cemetery for a 10 am interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Third Creek Baptist Church.
