Erik David McFarlane entered the gates of heaven on May 21st, 2023 and was beloved by most anyone who met him. Born in Brooklyn, NY, June 4th, 1975; and raised in Marietta, GA. He loved life and his smile and contagious laughter could brighten any dark day. He was passionate about his family and his new house which we called Germaica Estate, vintage cars, specifically MG Spitfires, Mini Coopers, his respect for our nation’s military (though he did not serve), WWII history, jazz standards, and his poker family and all his friends here in Knoxville. He was an avid gardener both at home and at his beloved bed at the Burwell Community Garden. He loved the Yankees, the Giants and was a devout VOL for life who got to witness that great win over Alabama this past season. He could sing a jazz standard like no one else. He loved the Lord and his knowledge was limitless. He could make you laugh harder than you ever thought you could and your greatest reward was making him laugh because it was incredible to hear. He took pride in his work life at Jewelry Television, and was a natural born teacher. He had the best sense of humor and would do anything he could for anyone he knew. He is preceded in death by his mother Santer McFarlane and his beloved pups Sandy and Sofie. He is survived by his partner of 8 beautiful years and forever, Anna Maria Terlinden Rogers of Knoxville, TN, his father Larry McFarlane, sister Tamara McFarlane of Marietta, GA, and his four beautiful furkids Nerman Randolph, Sigmund Theodore, Beatrix Elaine and Eleanor Nancy all here with his partner in Knoxville. A celebration of life will be scheduled very soon - please keep contact with his partner Anna, his Facebook page and here for those details. Let’s share all of the good memories of this one of a kind man.
