He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jan Kastens; a sister, Noelle Rose; son, Eric Bradley Rose; a step son, Steve Kastens; a step daughter, Sherri Kastens; three step grandchildren: Hayden Kastens, Averi Kastens, and Finley Kastens; and three nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Eric George Rose, mother, Adelay Youngerman Rose Senchuk, and a sister, Janice Rose Cisman.
Al was born and raised in the Pinkney, Michigan area and lived in or near Ann Arbor, MI his entire adult life until he retired to Tennessee in 2003. For the past 16 years, Jan and Al have made their home in Tellico Village. Al loved the lake and boating as well as all that East Tennessee offers in its beauty and activities. Al retired from Ford Motor Company in 2000 after working for 34 years as an industrial engineer. His work took him to many countries during his career, Europe, South America, Japan, and Mexico. This fun loving man will be dearly missed by family and friends.
