Hopper, Jack R. (Pippie) Age 88 On Tuesday, December 02, 2014 went home to be with the Lord. Jack was an insulator with Local 46 as a member of the National Asbestos Workers Union. His Christian walk was an inspiration to many. He was married to his sweet heart June Rogers Hopper for seventy years. Jack grew up in the Cumberland Gap/Middlesboro area. He is preceded in death by parents, Clariville Arthur (Dessie Alma Sowders) Hopper of Cumberland Gap; daughter, Lynn Abbigail Ryan; grandson, Mathew Aaron Hopper; brothers, Burnis Hopper and Otis Hopper and sister, Otha Hopper .
Hopper, Emma June Rogers (Mimmie) Age 86 On Wednesday, December 03, 2014 went home to be with the Lord. June was a retired LPN working at several hospitals around the southeast. In her life, she led many to the Lord. Early Wednesday June heard the call to come hold Jack’s hand as they entered the gates of Heaven as sweethearts. She is preceded in death by parents; Millard John (Mayme Emmaline Williams) Rogers; daughter, Lynn Abbigail Ryan; grandson, Mathew Aaron Hopper; brother, John Rogers and sister, Phyllis Ann Rogers.
Jack and June are survived by Lynn’s spouse, Michael R. Ryan; daughter, Sharon Dale (John) Auckerman; son, Danna Lee (Pamela) Hopper; daughter, Mayme Jacqueline Hopper; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren. Jack is survived by sister-in-law, Louise Hopper. June is survived by sister; Delores Harris, brother; Jimmy (Judy) Rogers and sister-in-law, Juanita Rogers.
They were charter members of Park West Church of God, West Knoxville.
Receiving of friends will be at Berry Funeral Home on Chapman Hwy. in Knoxville from 5 to 7pm on Saturday. Funeral Services will follow at 7pm with Dr. Gerald McGinnis officiating. Interment will be at Highland South Cemetery on Sunday at 3pm.
