Houser, Emily Mikaylah, age 14, of South Knoxville, passed away December 29, 2011 at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. God’s Warrior has finally received her angel wings. She was a member of Hope Christian Center. Emily attended New Hopewell Elementary and was currently taught at home by Celesle Critcelous. Preceded in death by uncle, Christopher Daniel; great uncle, Samuel Price; great grandmother, Joyce Willard; great great grandmother, Nora Caldwell. Emily enjoyed her arts and crafts, her puppy, Reese Cup, horses, and playing with her sisters. Survived by parents, Matthew and Amanda Houser; sisters, Bethany and Grace Houser; grandparents, Wayne and Rebecca Houser, Jay Daniel, James and Deborah Johnson; great grandparents, Charles and Jane Price, Patsy Davis, Floren Houser; several aunts and uncles including Grant Houser and Toby Johnson and wife Alyssa and numerous cousins and friends. The family would like to express their appreciation to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Sevier Heights Baptist Church, City View Baptist Church and her church, Hope Christian Center for their loving support during this time. Celebration of life service will be 7:00 pm Monday, January 2, 2012 at Hope Christian Center, 209 Ogle Road, Seymour with Rev. James Rudd officiating. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 3, 2012 and proceed to Mt. Olive Cemetery for a 2:00 pm graveside service with Rev. Charlie McNutt and Rev. Gene Hurley officiating. Memorials may be made to Child Life, c/o East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, 2018 Clinch Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee 37916.
