Elizabeth Jane White

Elizabeth Jane White, age 92, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 15, 2023. She graduated from Young High School and Fort Sanders School of Nursing. Elizabeth dedicated her life to helping others as a registered nurse for 43 years at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a devoted wife, mother, and loving mamaw. Elizabeth enjoyed watching her sons participate in sporting events and family reunions.

She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Ermil White; parents, Sanford Lester and Martha Spangler; and brother, Marvin Spangler.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving sons, Larry White and Vic (Carol) White; grandchildren, Ryan (Janey) White, Katelyn White; brother, S.L. (Florence) Spangler; sisters, Helen Sands, Charlsie Wenzinger, Christine (John) Krosnes, Phyllis (David) Ogle, and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:30 PM Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville TN 37920. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 PM Friday, January 20, 2023 at Berry Highland South Cemetery for a 1:00 PM graveside service. Pallbearers: Joe and John Haynes, Justin Williams, Frank Ambrister.
