Edna Peters Roach of Knoxville, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 29, 2022. Edna was a lifelong resident of Knoxville, Tennessee. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1950. She retired from Regions Bank after 30 years of service. Edna was a member and longtime attender of Cumberland Baptist Church and attended a weekly Women’s Bible Study meeting. Edna was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Preceded in death by her parents, Delton and Cora Peters; brother, George Peters; sisters, Ruth McElyea and Eula Reed; and her infant daughter, Carole Luann Roach. Survived by husband of 71 years, Charles; daughter, Dianna (Gene) Painter; son, D. Keith (Linda) Roach; grandchildren, Sara Cooper, Lyndsey (Clint) Donnell, Ben (Michelle) Painter, Stephen (Amy) Roach, Bethany (Darren) Vaughn, and Holly (Brice) Parm; great grandchildren, River Cooper, Lily Cooper, Drew Donnell, Grey Donnell, and Elliott Parm; and brother, Jack (Arita) Peters. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 9 – 11 am with the funeral at 11 am. Dr. Chad Crawford will officiate. The graveside service will immediately follow in Lynnhurst Cemetery. While attending these services we ask that you wear a mask for protection of all that loved Edna.
