She was born on July 25,1928 and was raised in Pigeon Forge, TN. It was in Pigeon Forge that she met her late husband of 56 years, Theron (T.A.) Brock.
Edna and T.A. moved to Knoxville shortly after they married on May 22, 1947 and started their family together. They welcomed Janice, Brenda, and Robin, and began a lifelong journey of friendship and fellowship in the Knoxville community.
They joined Central Baptist Church of Bearden in the early 1950’s, and the church became an integral part of their lives for much of the decades to come. Edna and T.A worked along side in the Sunday School Program for years, then she transitioned to the preschool program for several years before her retirement.
A loyal Tennessee Volunteer Fan, she will be remembered by football and basketball fans alike, as a friendly welcoming face as they entered Neyland Stadium and Thompson-Boling Arena to cheer on our Vols.
Edna is survived by her three daughters: Janice Galbraith (Mick), Brenda Kenney, and Robin Triplett (Doug). Her Grandchildren: Amy Carubba (Dominic), Nathan McNabb, Kara Seward (Mike), Kris Kenney (Rachel), and Jordan McNamara (TJ), and her five Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theron (T.A.) Brock, parents Sherman and Amiee Collier, brother Mindle R. Collier, sister Minnie M. Cline, and son-in-law Thomas M. Kenney.
She will always be remembered as the one who put her Savior and Family before all. She was strength, kindness, laughter, and most importantly love.
The funeral will be held Saturday, January 8 at 12:00 p.m. at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, with a graveside service to follow.
