Doris Triplett

A loving wife and mother, Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Frederick Paul Triplett. She is survived by her devoted daughters Paula McDowell and Harriett Brown as well as her five grandchildren, James (Angie), Joshua (Tracy), and Jacob (Beth) McCarter; Paul (Becca) Arab; Jama (Gentry) Fulton; as well as 17 great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter.

Doris was a strong Christian believer and was a member and deaconess of Immanuel Baptist Church, member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and member of Southside Baptist Church. She retired from the Knox County schools Art Department. Her love of art was a passion driven by her love of God.

Visitation and receiving of friends will be held at Berry Highland South Funeral Home, 9010 E Simpson Rd. Knoxville, TN 37920 on Monday May 20, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Interment to follow in Berry Highland South Cemetery.
