Doris Elaine Flynn

Doris Elaine Flynn, age 92, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 26, 2024. She was a member of Second United Methodist Church. Doris volunteered as a Pink Lady at St. Mary's Hospital for over 50 years. She was a very caring, giving and loving person, known as the Candy Lady. She loved to walk each day and staying busy helping others.

Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Hazel Green; husband, Jack Flynn; daughter, Sherry Flynn; granddaughter, Ansley Flynn; 5 siblings.

Survived by daughter, Donna Wynn (Kemp); son, Roger Flynn (Kathy); grandchildren, Amy Kitts (Randy), Adrienne Miller (Matt), Kirk Wynn (Emily), Andrew Flynn (Sarah), and Jack Flynn; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special thanks to the staff of Windsor Ridge Assisted Living and Sacred Ground Hospice House.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Monday, September 30, 2024 with the Celebration of Life to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. Rev. Tim Paul and Rev. Kemp Wynn will officiate. Family and friends will meet at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home at 12:30 pm Tuesday to go in procession to the 1 pm graveside service at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
