Donald Don Ralph Henderson

Donald (Don) R. Henderson, age 70, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 25, 2016, at Holston Healthcare. He was a child of God. He graduated from South High School in 1964 and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in 1974. Don served in the United States Army from 1967 through 1969. He worked for House Hasson Hardware as manager of transportation for over 25 years. Don was preceded in death by his mother, Ora Ashley Henderson and father, Birch (Park) Henderson. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Kennedy Henderson; brother Gary Henderson and wife Debbie of Knoxville; brother-in-law Bryan Kennedy and wife Tammy of Harriman; nieces and nephews, Ben Henderson and wife Tiffany; Lori Beth Henderson Hobbs and husband, Justin; Dylan Kennedy and Sarah Kennedy of Harriman; father-in-law and mother-in-law Walter and Zelma Kennedy; great-niece, Ava Noel Henderson; aunt, Evelynda Castle; aunt Glenna Kennedy Cornett and husband, Buzz of Speedwell; and uncle George Kennedy and wife Debbie of Harriman; numerous cousins, and many special friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Don’s memory to the charity of your choice. Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, Revs. James Jones, Brock Webster, and Chris Breeden officiating. Family and friends will meet at Berry Highland South Cemetery on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM for the interment.
