Delores Branch Coley Carver, 86, peacefully went home to Jesus, December 7, 2017, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Delores was predeceased by her 3 sons, Steve Coley, Wayne Carver and Michael Carver; her parents, Bill and Ida Perry Branch; 5 siblings, Roy (Doc) Branch, Carl Branch, Lela Monroe, Gertie McClain, and Walter Branch. Delores is survived by her children, Linda Coley (Dale) Stott, Vicki Coley (Jerry) Thress, Cissy Carver (Jesse) McCroskey, Kayla Carver; step-daughters, Carolyn Carver (Dewey) Jennings, Judy Carver (Craig) Brooks; daughter-in-law, Tywanna Coley; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Delores spent her entire life mothering. A mother and later a Nanny was all she ever wanted to be. She did it well. Mothering kept her going even when her health failed. God had a plan for her life and blessed her with many more years after she was saved and baptized, in her 50's, at Buffat Heights Baptist Church. Amazingly, in her 70's, she adopted her special granddaughter, Kayla, and took care of her all of Delores' remaining years. "Well done thy good and faithful servant" Matt 25:21.
She was a member of First Baptist Knoxville, via their TV Ministry. A special Thank You to UT Hospice and faithful volunteer, Jenny.
