Those who knew David knew how dependable he was and they also knew his opinions on his beliefs. He was a local softball player, youth coach and even in his senior days enjoyed playing ball. The highest days in his ball playing days was in 2007, when his team went to the Senior Olympics in Louisville, KY. Another interest of his was his Union Communication Workers of America, and he served several years as Vice President and the editor of the newsletter. He was great at fixing things; his motto was "I can fix anything but a broken heart and sometimes I can make that feel better". He loved fox hunting, listening to the dogs run was music to him and many a new friend was made round the fire.
David was always active in church and is a member of Milan Baptist Church, and he was a long time member of Cedar Ford Baptist Church. His truest love was his family.
