David Michael Underwood

David Michael "Mike" Underwood, age 70, passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer on Monday, October 2, 2017 with his daughter and niece by his side. Mike was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam. He received a Bronze Star for his heroic services. Mike was a successful general contractor for over 30 years building people's dream homes. He was a Christian who knew Heaven was his final home. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Brenda; and three brothers, Leon, Ted, and Paul. Mike is survived by his daughter Jamie Snyder (Brad); three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Braden, and Cole; two brothers, Earl Underwood (Annette) and Harold Underwood (Jeanie); one sister, Nancy Winkle; several nieces, nephews, lots of friends; and special companion, Maria Narvaez. Family will receive friends on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Highway on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:30 am for graveside services.
