DAVID L. TOWE, SR. – age 72 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at home on September 25, 2016. Mr. Towe was the owner of Towe Iron Works, Inc. and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed working on his farm and spending time with his horses. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, a member of the Masons and the Sertoma Club. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary Faye Towe; son, Mark Shayne Towe; father, Lawrence Wade Towe, Sr. and mother, Margaret Hux Towe. He is survived by sons, David L. (Brenda) Towe, Jr. and Jeffrey L. (Lisa) Towe; grandchildren, Kayla Towe, Ty (Meredith) Towe, Taylor Towe, Kelsey Towe, John (Ashley) Steffner III and Candler Towe; five great-grandchildren and special cousin, John Jenkins, Jr. Family and friends will meet 12:45 P.M. Thursday at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for a 1 P.M. interment. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
