Darrell Widner

Widner, Darrell Wayne, age 38, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, February 8, 2010. He was a member of Callahan Road Baptist Church and employee of Oak Ridge Associated Universities. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include wife of 14 years, Hope Harbison Widner; 10 year old daughter and the pride and joy of his life, Caitlin Widner; parents, Bill and Dossie Widner; sisters, Lois Chrisman and husband, Steve, Doris Jennings and husband Rick; nieces, Melinda Chrisman Biles and husband, Billy, Sarah Jennings Reed and husband David; best friend and fishing partner, Brent Elkins and long time friend, Kevin Edwards; great-nephews, Jackson Biles and Kaden Reed; mother-in-law, Shirley Tillery and husband, Steve; father-in-law, Jerry Harbison and wife, Sandy.

The family will receive friends from 6 pm until the 8 pm funeral service Thursday at the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Marc Sasser officiating. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery at 12:45 pm for a 1 pm interment on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Callahan Road Baptist Church Building Fund, 1336 Callahan Rd., Knoxville, TN 37912.
