Darrell Wayne Simmons, age 67, of Lenoir City, Tennessee went to be with Lord on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Darrell was a loving son, husband, grandfather, brother and uncle. He enjoyed being surrounded by nature and listening to good music. Darrell worked as a Scientist at ORNL for over 40 years where he made a meaningful impact for energy conservation efforts. He is survived by his loving wife Debbie Simmons; step-daughter Morgan Russell; step-sons Brian Moree and Tony Moree; grandchildren Kate Moree, Hadley Moree and Chelsea Moree; parents Coy and Wanda Simmons; sister Michele (Josh Asbury) Simmons; niece Grace Asbury and cousins Keith Walker and Judy Keene. The family welcomes friends to a Visitation at Lynnhurst Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 12:30pm-2:30pm with a Graveside Service to follow in the New Masonic Garden.
