Daniel Tyler Prijatel

Daniel Tyler Prijatel, age 33, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 11, 2022 . Daniel grew up in South Knoxville and graduated from South Doyle High School in 2007. He was most often employed in the service industry, but his most recent job was at Lamar Advertising so he could spend more time with his son Gage. Although Daniel's illness consumed much of his adult life, the birth of his son in 2017 led to the most sustained remission and a legacy of memories for the family. Ultimely, like so many others, he succumbed to his disease. Many who knew Daniel will remember someone who was always ready to help someone in need. Whether it was picking up a shift for a coworker or giving someone a ride, Daniel was there to lend a hand. His family will treasure the fond memories of his childhood including the summer vacations, going to the movies, pool parties, and game nights.

Daniel was preceded in death by grandparents, Moo Moo and Grandaddy, Grandma and Grandpa; his uncle, Jeff Lewis and Aunt, Wendy King.

Daniel is survived by his son, Gage Prijatel Wright; mother, Lee Ann Wright (Sam); father, Rudy Prijatel; brother, Benjamin Prijatel (Kyle); sister, Roxanne Shingleton (Mark) and step siblings, Hannah Wright, Brian Wright (Cara) and Shannon Hill (Todd); aunts, Kelly Burbage (Winston) and Becky Swaggerty; uncle, Henry Prijatel; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends 5 PM until 7 PM Friday, June 17, 2022 in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy. Knoxville, TN 37920 with a memorial service to follow at 7 PM. Rev. Cesar Correa officiating.

Family and friends will meet at Mt. Olive Cemetery Saturday, June 18, 2022 for a 10 AM inurnment service.
