Cynthia Turner

Turner, Cynthia Horner (Cissy) –age 76, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Tennova Regional Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Knoxville, Cissy was preceded in death by husband, U.G. Turner, Jr.; son, Andrew Turner; parents, Ruth and Clarence Horner; and brother, Reed Horner. She is survived by sons, Jeffery and wife Wendy, and Gregory; twin brother, Joe and wife, Kay; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and many other relatives. She was a graduate of South High School and attended West Park Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, December 2, 2012 in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Monday, December 3, 2012 for an 11 AM interment service. Rev. Bob St. John will officiate both services. Pallbearers will be members of her Fruitbearers Sunday School class. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to West Park Baptist Church Senior Adult Ministry, 8833 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37923.
