Claude Murray Yarbrough

Claude Murray Yarbrough, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He was born on February 5, 1933 to the late Ed Ralph Yarbrough and Elizabeth Hagood Yarbrough in Evergreen, Alabama. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara Kuhn; brothers Ed Yarbrough, James Yarbrough, William Yarbrough; and sisters Betty Noojin, and Elizabeth McLaughlin; and brother-in-law Frederick Kuhn,Jr.

He married the late Barbara Grace Kuhn on January 26, 1962 and they had one daughter, Linda Anne.

Claude had a long and successful career in sales with Mallory Capacitor Company in North Carolina.

Claude enjoyed fishing, golfing, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Claude, Barbara and Linda especially enjoyed many years living on Lake Norman in North Carolina. He had a special love for nature and animals, and leaves behind a beloved dog "Belle", who lives in NC.

Claude is survived by his daughter Linda Anne Yarbrough Thaxton and son-in-law Dana Clayton Thaxton (NC); brother John Yarbrough (TN); and nieces and nephews Rebecca Sheffield (TN), Ron Yarbrough (NC), Jane Noojin TX), Bob Yarbrough(GA), Jim Yarbrough (GA), Michael McLaughlin (TX), Don McLaughlin (TX), and Linda Arthur(TX); sister-in-law Anne May Kuhn Moore (IN); nephews Jeffrey Moore (IN) and Christopher Moore (IN).

Claude will be missed by his family and friends. A memorial will be held at a later date.
