Cecil Johnny Bishop, age 83 passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Life Care Center of Jefferson City. Cecil was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Piney Baptist Church. He retired from American Limestone and Dollywood. Preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Ottway and Dellena Bishop; brothers, Gilbert and Steve Bishop; sisters, Willa Dean and Mildred Bishop. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Elnora (Cricket) Bishop; children, Johnny (Mindy) Bishop, Becki (Chris) Ketron, Angela (Philip) Ford, Alan(Becky) Franklin, Michael (Karen) Franklin, Wanza (Mark) Forgione and Bonnie (Jerry) Westover. Also survived by sisters, Millie Sawyer, Joyce (Danny) Rhoden, Linda (John) Russell, Mary Kidwell, and brother, Danny (Ramona) Bishop. Cecil was blessed to have 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank everyone at Life Care Center of Jefferson City with a special thank you to his “sunshine” for the care they have given and shown Cecil and his family over the last two years. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Elnora Bishop to help with final costs. The family will receive friends Monday, February 15, 2016 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Berry Funeral Home on Chapman Highway with a funeral service to follow at 8pm.
