Calvin Glenn Davis

Calvin (CG) Davis, age 99, of Powell, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Calvin was born December 11, 1922. Calvin was a World War Il Veteran, enlisting in the army in 1943. He served in the South Pacific in New Guinea and the Philippines. He was stationed on nighttime gun patrol and discharged in 1946. CG was awarded the good conduct medal and 2 other service related medals. After the service he worked as an electrician, mainly in Oak Ridge. He loved watching any UT sports events, working in his yard, and socializing with their friends.

He and his wife, Faye were married 69 years and attended Sharon Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by parents, Homer and Ella Davis and siblings, Wendell Davis and Evelyn Heatherly. He is survived by his wife, Faye Davis; daughters, Denise Thompson (Ricky) and Donna Davis; granddaughter, Sabrina Chamberlain (Nathan) and great granddaughter, Kyla Chamberlain. Other relatives include sister-in-law, Gayle Fife, nephews, Lee Wright (Alina, LJ and SaVannah) and Doug and Jimmy Heatherly.

A graveside service will be held for CG on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 3pm at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery.
