He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on November 15, 1955, to his parents Bevan Wood Brown Jr. and Sara Hill Brown. He was the oldest of three siblings.
He is survived by his significant other of 27 years, Mary Malichis. He is also survived by his stepchildren Samantha Parker (Brandon) of Stow, Ohio and Tiffany Koch (Brady) of Redondo Beach, California; grandson, Ashton Parker; Sister, Myra Lindsey (Randal); Nieces, Mara Fisher, of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jenna Brown of Tennessee. He is survived by many other relatives and friends including his best friend since 8th grade, David Poore.
Van was a wonderful stepdad and grandpa who loved to hunt, watch NASCAR, & joke with everyone. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.
A visitation for Bevan will be held Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919.
A funeral service will occur on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Whispering Waters Pavilion in Berry Highland Memorial Park at 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Bevan's memory to University of Tennessee Hospice at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
