Barbara Jenkins Heim

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Carrie Jenkins, and brother Bob Jenkins. She is survived by her husband of 53 wonderful years, Edward Heim, and by son Mike Heim and his wife Maureen and son Daniel, and by son Steve Heim and his son Andrew and his daughter Emily. She is also survived by sister- in-laws Barbara Evans (Neal) and Joyce Jenkins.

Barbara was born in Corinth, Mississippi. She graduated from the University of Tennessee and returned to Knoxville in 2001. She taught school for one year and then stayed home to raise her two sons. She was active in her church and served in many volunteer rolls. She was extremely talented in many crafts including sewing, painting, basket weaving, cooking and helping others to enjoy those areas. Special appreciation to the staff at Clarity Pointe, Knoxville and to Smokey Mountain Hospice.

A celebration of life will be at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 3:00pm with receiving of friends immediately following. A private entombment service will be held at a later date.
