Barbara "Bobbie" Moore

Moore, Barbara Barrett "Bobbie" Moore, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, May 10, 2014. Bobbie was retired from the Knox News Sentinel and also spent many hours volunteering at St. Mary's Hospital and Samaritan Place. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. "Jim" Moore. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jennifer Moore of Seymour, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Gene Hammonds of Knoxville, TN; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Claudia B. Farmer of Roanoke, VA; special family member, Linda Rose and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice for making the last of Bobbie's journey so peaceful. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm, Monday, May 12, 2014 at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 1:45pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 to go in procession to the graveside service in Lynnhurst Cemetery, Pastor Mike Lee officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Haesler, Gene Hammonds, James "Jami" Moore, Dustin Moore, Shawn Dunbar and Jacob Hammonds.
